Players
Being part of a group of people working together to bring music to life from notes on a page is one of the things I missed most after leaving school, so I was really excited to find out that there was an orchestra playing just up the road from me. It has turned out to be a place to meet entertaining and interesting people, and to feel part of a collective whose aim is to make beautiful music and enjoy it. Milla - viola
I've been really surprised by how much I enjoy being part of an orchestra again, having not played at all since leaving school 15 years ago; I can't believe I left it so long! It is lovely to be part of a group of people making and enjoying music, and rehearsals always leave me feeling very motivated to practise. Jocasta - violin
I joined one year ago, having taken up the violin as an adult. Playing with, and encouraged by, more experienced players has really helped improve my playing and sight reading. You can enjoy and make a contribution to the ensemble whatever level you play at. Stephen - violin
